Good evening viewers.

Day one at the John Terry trial. And may I take this opportunity to share a sterling tip for any budding racists in the house.

According to George Carter-Stephenson QC, you can call someone a naffing black cnut providing you maintain you are only sarcastically repeating words that someone wrongly thought you had previously used, ’in response to goading rather than by way of exaggerated and instant querying of a perceived false allegation. ‘

Thank God that’s what was going on. For a few fleeting moments me and the rest of entire world thought that the Blues’ skip was being accused of doing something despicable. Let us pray that justice prevails and this pillar of the sporting community isn’t savaged by an unthinking judge who could cripple Mr Terry’s finances with a fine of up to £2500, let alone his robust reputation.

In more important news, I am told that Milos Krasic will be arriving in N17 for talks towards the latter part of this week. In fact on Thursday*.

Krasic was earlier this window linked with Liverpool but as will be come painfully apparent to the whining gits come August they aren’t able to offer any of their targets anywhere near what they need. All enquiries about that particular kettle of fish c/o Mssrs Comilli & Dalglish.

To add a little background heat to your supper this evening is this quite priceless piece of  additional information about Loic Remy. You know, that bloke we were ‘in for’?

It is suggested to me that Arry Redschnapps met with the player without the consent or remote knowledge of either Spurs or Marseille. More as I get it, my dears.

The Redknapp/Remy meeting was widely reported in the press here and Marseille did not issue any sort of “we are outraged” comment. In fact a club spokesman went on record about the Spurs bid. I don’t see any story here HH.

    [Reply]

    MarseilleYid Reply:

Apologies if what I wrote looks like a criticism of you HH. That was not my intention. All I am saying is that if there was an authorized meeting, then Marseille would have issued an official “we are not happy with this” type statement. None was ever forthcoming, so I would suggest they knew about the meeting. La Provence reported their directors were there. If your ITK has proof otherwise, I’ll happily stand corrected.

With regards the Harry Redknapp/Loic Remy information I actually remember reading this in the press (sorry can’t remember which sorry Harryite red top printed it) at the time and laughing out loud. I was actually shocked that no one else seemed to pick up on it (then and now) because the comments from Remy’s camp were along the lines of “I’ll only join Spurs if Harry Redknapp is the manager”, which was stunning. Not least because it appeared Harry was meeting the player and agent outside of the club (at an airport, I think someone mentioned Paris, although that was after the report in the press) but more importantly it was the first clear indication that Harry KNEW he was going to get the chop and was trying to use Remy as a bargaining chip, and it lead to the rest of the comments from Twitchy about contracts and the squad being unsettled. I’d definitely like to know the full story behind that one. Knowing how Levy reacts I’m pretty sure Remy won’t be joining Spurs after that one!

So to say HR was using Remy as a bargaining chip – please don’t insult our intelligence.

    Something along the lines of…

Benoit Assou-Ekotto last night tweeted a stark warning to new boss AVB, that he won’t get his own way at the Lane and that he was on the verge of leading the players out in open revolt.

He stated that the atmosphere was distinctly “cool” toward the new boss, while the lack of “spirit” was mainly down to AVB demanding a “different way to work”.

Trouble seems lowering on the horizon as fans favourite Benny vowed that to “work with a new manager” would “sound good”.

    TO ALSPUR RE MODRIC

Alspur I dont go by statistics in footie.
Tottenham being a team with so many attacking players is dynamic when they are running forward. Modric adds to that. I just feel that killer passes are few and the odd shot is a really good one.
I find when we need a game changer it was VDV or Bale making it happen or maybe Lennon.
Im not saying Modric isnt good.He is a good even great player but we need the type of player who will change a game. He doesnt in my opinion, well not like a Silva or even Mata. Its an opinion and in footie thats what I like about it.You can throw some of the statistics out….except of course Messis :-)

    Blanchflower was,Greaves obviously was….

Its a player who can turn events around.

Modric is a great creative player who can find space and pass.

He did change a game last season maybe once or twice at the most

You dont have to score, you just have to make that
    killer pass.

He doesnt he finds players but nowhere the same level as Sila who can also score.

Its possible Modric on a better team would do better.
Berbatov was a game changer at Tottenham but not at United. Its hard to say about Modric. For me he is a pretty player who doesnt tackle very well or score very much or give killer passes enough to make up for the low scoring or bad tackling

To the delight of the paper with the unlimited access to Roman’s yacht, it also gave them the chance to ‘get one over’ on AVB. Hmmm, offering the guy about £200k per week probably didn’t have anything to do with it then?

Anyway. The story comes with obligatory shot of AVB on the training ground – specially selected so that no-one is smiling and everyone is looking confused, complete with a caption including the word ‘Trouble/Disaster/Loser/Hated/Revolt’* (Delete as applicable).

So, there it is. Couldn’t get Modric, so just buy up everyone that’s left… Especially if they’re linked to us. Hold on, I’ve got an idea! Can we say that we’re looking to buy J***s and Bentley again as they were so good first time round?

Anyway, Oscar looks good for a guy who barely uses his left foot, and when it’s confirmed who he’ll be joining, is when I’ll believe it to be the case. And I don’t believe even Chelsea would pay £200k per week for a 20 year old.

Seriously, it was reported in the Daily Mail, hardly a beacon for accurate reporting, yet every other so called paper is going with “the news” subsequently. It may well have credence, but nowadays they seem to write what the hell they want without a care for legitimacy/accuracy.

Like the “Spurs finally agree fee for Vertonghen” trash the other day. The fee had been agreed a long time previously. Vertonghen was seeking his fair share as per his own agreement with Ajax.

If we get Moutinho and a Goalie and Ade

If there is no Moutinho then a Top striker is in order and keep Hudd etc
and get another midfielder in the 6 mil range

Moutinho I read in News Now is coming to london for a physical

Here we go: racism is TREATING someone as an inferior. Being called “white” can hardly be taken as an insult if you have everr bothered to travel in Africa or the USA. Likewise calling someone “black” is descriptive and NOT racist.

The whole thing is pathetic and reeks of PC gone crazy and while I have no time for Terry after the WB episode he is IMHO the voctim of a PC witchhunt.

If it is the cnut word that is offensive then about 20% oof those who post here are also guilty.

If you call someone a fcuking stupid cnut you are not just using the word stupid as descriptive but also as part of the insult.

If you call someone a fcuking Jewish cnut you are not just using the word Jewish as descriptive but also as part of the insult.

If you really believe that calling someone a fcuking black cnut is not a form of racist abuse then you are a fcuking stupid cnut, and I mean every word of that as an insult.

At Chelsea he will be competing with Hazard, Mata, Ramires, Lampard – i.e. on the bench. There will be very little exposure there unless he’s planning to go commando and let his bollocks slip out of his shorts every now and again.

    Morning Harry.
On a totally different note I thought you might like to know this. Mya margery has three nipples….But other than that a friend of mine works at Spurs on the junior coaching staff and said of AVB that he turned up on his first day and shook the hand of every one, from the grounds staff to the tea lady and the cleaners(my mate included who unfortunatley is a gooner, but fortunatley has to wear a Spurs track suit every day, which tickles me some what)
Doesn’t sound much like the reports of a self obsessed egotist who has no time for no one but his own reflectionn – Lampard, Terry – your’re just old and bitter me thinks.

I keep reading that Modric is “off”/has “negotiated terms” etc. Yet Levy has stated (as last summer)that we won’t be selling our best players. Modric is now PL savvy – he makes this team tick. So why sell him – tough luck if he wants to go to Madrid – and replace with a Moutinho – who may not hack it in a faster more physical league (Deco?).

    [Reply]

    Ronnie Wolman Reply:

Nobody knows if AVB has yet had a conversation with Modric.
    This is a key point.
As far as Levy goes I would imagine if Modric is still unhappy now, that he would grab the 30-35 mil
and buy Moutinho for 20 mil and that gets us a goalkeeper for free.
and we still have money for a striker.

    [Reply]

    Minionas Reply:

I didn’t think Mods handed in a transfer request. I also thought a player agreeing terms without their clubs permission was “tapping up”. This leads me to think that it’s a massive load of BS.
