Guten Abend.
We’ve never had it so good. The wretched irony of those words have yet to be proved on the old green stuff but the manner in which the Club are conducting their business this window thus far is pleasing.
A brand new hot shot manager and one of the Eredivisie’s if not Europe’s finest signed sealed and delivered.
Now what?!
Modric is off to Los Blancos with a fee suspected to be in excess of £30m.
The interesting tidbit of the weekend is that Stefan Freund is rumoured to be returning to The Lane in a coaching capacity.
Freund’s work with aspiring young German players has earned him plaudits. And for those that may be contemplating a giggle at this thought, it’s a matter of fact that ‘ok’ or worse footballers tend to make better coaches and managers than stellar ones…
As for the freebie, I have a rather fetching iPhone case to give away tonight. Express an interest on here or get involved on Twitter to be in the ever benevolent HH hat.

It feels like that time again.
You know a season before we won the double was disapointing because we nearly won the league but we were good but not great. The next season we were great.
I think Harry was limited and we should now stop the anti Harry rhetoric and give him his place in history and move forward.
I love this time. Its going to happen.Ive been waiting for many years and I feel it now because I think if Levy gives him a chance (and I think he will) and we give him a chance (doubtful) AVB will leave no stone unturned.

He is the star in an ordinary team and as main striker relies on the service supplied from midfield, a step up to the EPL with better support would see him at the. Top of his game. These nobs are starting to develop a morbid obsession with us, even making blog posts whenever we sign a player. Needless to say the tone of the discussion resembles that of an estate agents convention. Please go and wind them up if you feel like it, it’s very very easy, if also quite unrewarding due to the barrel-scraping level of ‘banter’ they engage in. I would but they banned me last year when I commented a couple of times on a post where they said Levy was committing crimes against humanity and football for not allowing Modric to go.

The difference is Levy. Levy is our Dein. When the scum had Dein they grew a stadium and filled it with world class players and won things. Then his jealous buddies sold him out to Kronke and now they’re fucked. Meanwhile, back at the Lane, we had a series of comedians (scholar/venables) and then a shrewdy who used us to win the bskyb set top box contract by swapping our vote on TV rights for it (Sugar). Now we have levy and they have a knob it is only a matter of time. It might be 3 years or 10 years, but if we pray that Wenger and Kronke stay in charge and keep Dein out, we will reign in our backyard.

At the time of writing the Give away a free plastic case was several Iphones behind the previous articles. Its 122 comments were some 2 miles behind both the John Cross article and even more to the frontrunner, the Erik Sykes copped it article.
This either means that the other articles were much more relevant or that Harry Hotspur is a cheap bastard who got a present from his shrink and now wants to use it to squeeze out as much creativity from the crowd as possible….well it obviously didn’t work did it.

Having supported Spurs since th days of Crooks Archibald Ardilles and Hoddle I can’t remember being this excited and expectant about a preseason and the coming season. If rumours are true and we get Ade, we are one or two players away from being awesome (on paper only at the moment that is). If AVB can get more out of either Bentley or Gio also,we are totally on like Donkey Kong!!

I believe that the most influential footballer ever to wear the Lilywhite shirt, Danny Blanchflower would be excited and proud of the recent steps taken in the evolution of his beloved Spurs.
Danny had a vision for this club when he signed almost 60 years ago under the tutelage of Aurther Rowe, we have had our moments over those 60 years but never really dominated, never reached our full potential, is this the time ?
It is virtually unheard of in modern day football for a backwater like Manchester to dominate it’s National League, the Capital City’s top team generally wins the Premiership, let us rise to the challenge. COYGS

Can’t quite believe that. Modric has all but swapped his Lillywhites for Real’s according to the press.
As for Rafa, the time would seem right for Levy to cash in while he still can. We had a good couple of years from him but he will not fit AVB’s tactics as he is so un-versatile that we had to change everything to accommodate him. He will also be the first to kick up a stink, perhaps even Lampard-style, if he’s benched as he’s used to being the top man under Redknapp. So yeah, cash in now and say thanks for the memories. I’m sure we would get 10m or so for him, money back or even better.

Alspur I dont go by statistics in footie.
Tottenham being a team with so many attacking players is dynamic when they are running forward. Modric adds to that. I just feel that killer passes are few and the odd shot is a really good one.
I find when we need a game changer it was VDV or Bale making it happen or maybe Lennon.
Im not saying Modric isnt good.He is a good even great player but we need the type of player who will change a game. He doesnt in my opinion, well not like a Silva or even Mata. Its an opinion and in footie thats what I like about it.You can throw some of the statistics out….except of course Messis

I think apart from anything else, Modric should be thanking Levy for not allowing him to leave for Chelsea last Summer. Cos now he gets to play for the real deal, not those classless, shabby chancers. I’m sure he would have watched their appalling CL campaign and seen there would have been no place for him in their anti-football / hoofball style.
